Seaward Hayes, LMHCA, CN

Seaward is a first generation, biracial, cis-female, Korean American. She has recently graduated from Bastyr University with a Master of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology
and has five years of experience providing nutrition, mental health, and substance use counseling.
As a counselor, Seaward considers the whole person within their context including the biological, social, psychological and spiritual aspects of being because she believes that healing is a unique and comprehensive journey. To facilitate growth and understanding,
Seaward uses modalities such as mindfulness, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and somatic therapy from a trauma informed lens. Seaward strives to
partner with you in creating a collaborative, therapeutic space to explore what you need to heal and move forward in your life with greater confidence and purpose.
While Seaward is not trained to offer individual DBT therapy adherently, she is able to integrate the skills into her individual work with clients and support clients in skills class to apply them to their daily problems.
